Valued Volunteers - Laura Robbins

Born and raised in Omaha, Laura has spent much of her life serving our community. When attending the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO), in pursuits of a psychology degree, she got involved in Greek life. It was in Sigma Kappa that she learned the value of meaningful service, which shaped her career and personal life.

After graduating with her Master's in Public Health, she now works at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in the College of Nursing as a Project Coordinator for the Center for Patient, Family, and Community Engagement in Chronic Care Management (CENTRIC). CENTRIC supports a variety of research initiatives to support those interested in self-management of chronic diseases.

Although her husband and and pup, John and Olive, keep her busy, Laura finds time to volunteer. In addition to her service in the Junior League of Omaha, Laura serves on the Board of the ThriVinci Consulting Group and has held the role of Volunteer Consultant for Heartland Family Service.
